The Access Center was a national technical help middle funded by the Office of Special Education Programs throughout the Department of Education. The objective of the Access Center was to enhance access to the final education curriculum for students with disabilities on the elementary and middle college ranges. With more than 400,000 college students served by afterschool applications in California, the State of California has good reason to give attention to the quality of its afterschool programs. SEDL, now an affiliate of AIR, worked with the California Department of Education to identify high-quality afterschool applications in the state and to establish technical assistance based mostly on the promising practices of the applications recognized. SEDL then labored with the recognized programs to develop coaching and resources used to support different afterschool programs within the state.
